Chris Anderson, Editor of Wired and author of The Long Tail (book and blog) has a great new article that will be the basis of his next book. Free! is quite simply one of the best articles to discuss the internet economy in a long time. In addition to laying out the many business models that leverage providing services for free (and still making money) it also goes a long way to explaining why the consumption of IT services can now move away from the economics of scarcity and toward the economics of abundance. Well worth a read!

Friedman again hits the nail on the head. Without political agendas for big business or big labor, he clearly reviews the changing landscape of global trade and competition. An interesting contrast to Imperial Hubris.
