Entertainment is moving to an asynchronous state. Between Tivo/DVRs, downloads from network sites and iTunes, and series season DVDs, we don't have to watch shows when they are scheduled...so why do some of us (like me) still do so? There are certain shows (Lost, Grey's) where I don't have them ruined by overhearing stuff about the episode around the watercooler...and I like them so much, I don't want to wait to watch them another time...
