At Johns Hopkins my freshman year, WJHU was a fantastic student run radio station with eclectic programming. The next year the administration took the station over, brought in "the pros", and proceeded to turn it into yet another classical/NPR station...which is fine for what it is, but it is not the same great eclectic mix of music.
Flash forward to 2006...and I give you radio paradise A great mix of music. Often mellow, often obscure, but also a great place to hear "that song you haven't heard in ages." You know, the one that was never a big radio hit, but you liked it the few times you heard it. Reggae, folk, alternative, new age (the good kind), etc...Take a listen. It is free (or listener supported) and streams at a variety of speeds through itunes or another player.
