Tom Friedman has an interesting new show on the Discovery Channel exploring the new dynamics of the Euro-American relationship. It is highly worthwhile.
Say what you want about the Europeans, but you shouldn't dismiss and discount them. They are a larger economic market than the US and if they could ever get their collective acts together they might become a serious economic and political rival.
The highlights - Many Europeans see the US as unilateralist and oppressive. Some fear the degree of religion evident in our politics and policies (as do I).
